Gerard Pique to have Barcelona crisis talks as Manchester United and Chelsea monitor developments

Barca boss Luis Enrique has fallen out with the defender, and they will sit down for talks after the international break

Benched: Pique's future is in the balance
Gerard Pique is set to put the Premier League's elite on alert by holding showdown talks with Barcelona.
The Spain defender’s relationship with boss Luis Enrique has become increasingly strained in recent weeks.
And MirrorSport understands that while Nou Camp chiefs are desperate to try and patch things up so that they don’t lose the World Cup winner, Luis Enrique is happy to see the former Manchester United man leave.
That will put the Red Devils on alert , with Louis van Gaal on the hunt for upgrades in defence, while Chelsea are also known to be monitoring events closely.
Pique’s relationship with the new Barca coach sunk to new levels against Almeria this weekend as the coach made a show of sending him to warm up - despite all three substitutions having been used.
Yet the weekend’s incidents didn’t sit well with some senior figures inside the club, who view the centre-back - contracted until 2019 - as someone who should be a key player for years to come.
